Samsung Captivate: Fix Lag? No OCLF!!!?

Currently, the only way I can keep my Captivate from lagging up is to turn it off then on, but this only lasts for about 15 minutes before it bogs down. I've tried RyanZA's OCLF, but it failed, 3 times. Is there any other way to at least temporarily fix the lag on my Captivate?
