Is it normal that the more i fail the less my girlfriend seems attracted to me?

Im generaly quite a self confident person but have been feeling a bit low lately. I am alot more forgetful than normal and i just failed my drivers licence for the third time in a row.these failures seem to go hand in hand with my depresion but the strange thing is that my girlfriend seems to distance herself from me when im like this. Is this normal.
