I have a type of pine or evergreen tree in my yard, tall, limbs growing almost vertical, what is it?

The are about 15' to 18' high, very bushy in the center, and the needles that fall are like a huge matt inside the tree. If the limbs get too long, they droop, but for most cases, they grow up and into a point as they get near the top. What is this tree?
